IMPORTANT SECURITY INFORMATION
REGARDING YOUR DEBIT CARD(S)

On October 22, 2007, Sonoma Federal Credit Union will be implementing a new fraud security system.

This new service will monitor activity on your debit card(s).

If fraudulent debit card activity is suspected, you and the credit union will be notified.

The following activities can also trigger a suspicious block:

  • Unusually high purchase amounts
  • Out of the ordinary merchants
  • Uncharacteristic transactions, such as ones originating in a foreign country

If your debit card is temporarily frozen, contact the credit union at (707) 527-6216 and we can assist you in unfreezing the account.

If the credit union is closed, please contact the Falcon Fraud Manager Call Center at (888) 241-2440 (toll-free within U.S.) or (909) 941-1034 (collect) (if you are traveling outside the U.S)

ATM/VISA Check Card
Sonoma Federal Credit Union members enjoy the features of a traditional ATM card and the ultimate convenience of a VISA Check Card. Our ATM/VISA card enables members to make deposits and withdrawals from their Sonoma FCU checking and savings accounts at thousands of ATMs world wide as well as use the card instead of writing checks to any merchant accepting VISA credit cards.

We offer:

  • NO-SURCHARGE CASH WITHDRAWALS - Use the card to withdraw money from any Bank of the West ATM or cash machine displaying the CO-OP Network logo The CO-OP Network supports nearly 3,000 ATMs throughout the U.S. and Bank of the West has several cash machines in its network. In Sonoma County alone there are more than 30 no-surcharge ATMs that Sonoma FCU members may use.
  • DEPOSITS - Sonoma FCU check card holders may make deposits at any deposit-accepting CO-OP Network or Bank of the West ATM*.
  • The Power of the VISA - The Sonoma FCU check card looks like a credit card, but works like a check - It can be used in place of a check wherever VISA is accepted. The purchase amount will be automatically deducted from your checking.
  • Free withdrawals at the Sonoma FCU ATM inside Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Lost or Stolen Cards

Call Sonoma FCU at 707-527-6216 immediately to report a lost or stolen card. If the credit union is not open, use the "800" 24-hour emergency reporting number of 1-800-754-4128. This number is also provided in our after hours recording when calling our main telephone number. Be sure to keep your Sonoma FCU check card in a safe place and never write your Personal Identification Number (PIN) on the card or give it to another person.

Sonoma FCU ATM/Check Card Fees

  • Card issue or lost card re-issue - $5.
  • Five or more foreign ATM withdrawals in one month- $1.00 each. The first four per month are free.
  • Free and unlimited point of sale transactions.

* There may be a two-day delay between the time of the deposit and the availability of funds.
