Ensuring the security of our financial system, including information
about you and your Sonoma FCU account, is of prime importance to us.
Where appropriate, the latest Internet technologies are used. Informational
pages about the credit union require minimal security, while sections
in which you provide personal data requires a much higher level of security.
A list of the design and security features utilized by our credit union
to maintain the security of your information and the integrity of your
account follows.
- The credit union computer maintaining personal information is never
connected to the Internet.
- Your accessible account information is stored on a dedicated database
server, which responds only to authenticated requests.
- We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on forms you submit.
Our on-line forms and your personal account information can be accessed
only with an SSL-compliant browser.
- One-way password encryption in the account access section (www.527stat.com)
means no one besides you may extract your password. Credit union staff
may only reset a new password for your account, not retrieve an existing
password.
- Our web home banking database server does not contain identifying
information such as names, addresses, or social security numbers anywhere
within the system.
PRIVACY POLICY
Sonoma Federal Credit Union recognizes the importance of
protecting the privacy and personal information of our members. The following
policy outlines how and when the credit union may distribute information
about you to third parties from this web site or our regular operations.
This policy does not extend to other web sites linked to this site. Sonoma FCU is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such linked
sites.
POLICY
Sonoma Federal Credit Union will make all reasonable efforts
to maintain all personal member information in strict confidence. Access
to your personal information will be restricted to:
- Sonoma FCU staff and officials responsible for completing your
request and/or transaction.
- Governmental agencies when required by law or regulation.
- Third parties only upon written consent of the member.
- Third parties as approved by the Board of Directors. Personal information
released to third parties for marketing purposes will be limited to
name and address. The credit union will not release member telephone
numbers. Our business partners share the same strict business principles
as Sonoma FCU.
The Sonoma FCU Board of Directors has approved the following third
party relationships:
- Credit Agencies - Your payment history on Sonoma FCU loans will
be provided to credit reporting agencies such as but not limited to
Equifax and TranUnion.
- Cuna Mutual Insurance Group (CMIG) - Your name and address only will
be provided so CMIG can offer credit union-approved insurance products.
Income, account balances or any other information will not be released.
